I NEVER KNEW THERE WERE WORSE THINGS THAN DYING

I found this amazing video/slide show and just had to share it.It commemorates the battle of Gallipoli,fought during WW1 in Turkey at the collapse of the ottoman empire.Of the 16000 austrailian and New Zealand soldiers who landed there,11400 were killed.



This is a tragic song,sung by an equally tragic man,and that's what makes it so haunting to me,plus,I love history.
